Ger Zaagsma, painter of mainly the dutch landscape, very much fancies to show in his watercolours the spectaculair skies, so often found in his dutch environment. From Wormer, where he lives, he usually takes his little boat to get inspired, make drawings and sketches from the Waterland area near his home: the beautiful  Wormer- en Jisperveld.

In summer he can be found in his french working place, in  Saint Gy (Chatin) and from 2006 onwards he regularly exposes his work in Le Morvan, a special National Park nationaal park in Burgundy.  Since January 2009 he also started making extreme-sized paintings, extreme for Watercolour that is: 35 x 150 of 60 x 150 cm.

Member of KNH (Kunstenaars Noord-Holland) ACN (Aquarellisten Collectief Nederland) and AIB (Aquarel Institute Belgium) the last 2 both known associations for watercolourists in the Benelux.
